Dear Editor I guess it was a case of close but not close enough for our local MSP Keith Brown in the SNP deputy leadership contest. Since Mr Brown polled 44% of the vote, I wonder if he will be calling for another leadership election or is 45% the threshold for demanding a re-run ?

Dear Editor What an interesting weekend I have just had, first there was Labour leadership hopeful Neil Findlay on the Andrew Marr Show telling us that it’s already Labour policy in Scotland to oppose the renewal of Trident, now I wonder if any of our Labour friends within this constituency could tell us if that’s true and also if they support the idea.
