THE Rotary Club of Alloa has helped to raise awareness of maintaining a healthy blood pressure.
The event, held outside Morrisons in Alloa, was organised in support of the Stroke Association’s ‘Know Your Blood Pressure’ campaign.
Rotary Club member Geoff Storer said: "We are delighted once again to organise a successful blood pressure awareness day. We will have hopefully helped not just the people who had their blood pressure tested, but also many others who will be more aware of the relationship between blood pressure and strokes.
"Members of our club can attest to the dangers of strokes and everything we can do to reduce the numbers of strokes in our community is worthwhile.
"This year we worked in partnership with the Stroke Association and Rotary International and we are very grateful for the contributions of over £360 made by the public, all of which will go to the work of the Stroke Association.”
