THE annual exhibition from Alloa Art is on display at The Gallery at Gordon R McFarlane until August.
The group was formed seven years ago by artists in the area who wanted to develop their skills and share experiences in a variety of art and craft activities.
Meeting 11 times a year, on the second Monday of the month, they participate in workshops and classes led by outside tutors or members who have particular areas of expertise.
Wet-felting, life drawing, working in artists’ coloured pencils, glass fusing, mosaic work and print making are all examples of activities designed to encourage members to expand the creative possibilities available to them.
Kirstine Sloan, chairperson, said: “We all find it stimulating to try something new and sometimes to be taken out of our usual comfort zone and meetings let us learn from each other as well as enjoy our shared interests. New members are always welcome.”
Their next meeting is on Monday, August 14, at 7.30pm at Resonate in North Castle Street, Alloa.
The exhibition showcasing the variety of interests and talent of members will be at the Mill Street gallery until Saturday, August, 19.
