YOUNGSTERS enjoyed the sunshine during Craigbank Primary School's Health Week.

With the theme of 'Show a Little Kindness', each class filled in a chart for the week, tracing good deeds and kind acts.

A wide range of activities took place over the five days, for instance pupils in P4-7 ran their Race for Life 5k, raising the amazing sum of £1,577 for Cancer Research.

Furthermore, the whole school from P1 to P7 set off for Gartmorn Dam, enjoying a walk around the reservoir.

P7s also enjoyed their glamorous 'Oscars' themed prom, arriving to the school hall in style.

Awards, voted by the children, were presented, this was followed by an evening of fun and dancing, a tasty buffet – provided by parents.

Entertaining the school community was also the annual Talent Show with singing, dancing, impressions, contortions and comedy.

The end of session service was also held in Sauchie and Coalsnaughton Parish Church with accolades going to P7 pupils Alistair Gilvear, Achievement Award, Lennon Lewcio, Endeavour Award, and Rebecca Young with the Jones Quaich Citizenship Award.

The Sport Award went to Cian McKinsley and the Conder House Cup was won by Ochil House with captain Adam Crawford stepping forward to receive the trophy.

Waving goodbye were retiring headteacher Mrs Robotham and depute head Mrs Andrews, staff and pupils serenaded them with an original song called 'You Will Survive' and presented them each with a memory book with photographs and good wishes.

Thanks go to the parents who supported children during the 5k, to those who walked and ran along and to those who donated.

For the prom, thanks go to parents and staff who helped out, especially Miss Price.
