THE Summer Fun ventured back outside to the High Street of Alloa last Thursday after two rainy weeks.

As part of Alloa Town Centre Business Improvement District's (BID) programme of family events, which have been taking place over the past two months, children's entertainer Scott Lovat brought his magic and puppets to the performance area.

He put smiles on youngsters' faces with his spells on Thursday, August 10, with two shows on the day.

On offer further down the street at the same time were Italian treats from the Montieth ice cream cart and glitter tattoos while Mr Puffin was on hand once again to delight kids with his balloon creations of all sorts of shapes and colours.

There was, too, a pocket money toy stall organised by the BID while a representative from the library at the Speirs Centre, which was the venue for the events during bad weather, who championed the Summer Reading Challenge and provided the opportunity for people to sign up for library cards.

The programme is slowly ending and is moving onto the grand finale this Thursday with the End of Summer Party.

It will be organised for the first time and will see a disco, games, competitions, prizes and special guests.
