A TULLIBODY woman who was caught driving while almost seven times over the legal limit has had her sentence deferred until she undergoes substance treatment centre reports.

Kelly Marie Robertson, 41, pleaded guilty on July 25 to driving a car on Hillside Terrace, Alloa, after consuming so much alcohol that the proportion of it in her breath was 148mcg of alcohol in 100ml of breath – well in excess of the 22mcg limit.

Robertson, who resides on Delph Road, committed the offence on July 24 this year and has now started treatment with Signpost, a substance misuse recovery charity.

The court heard that when engaging with the programme, someone from the charity comes out and visits her home once a week.

A criminal justice social work report, while generally being positive about Robertson, recommended that she visit the Forth Valley Substance Treatment Centre for reports to be filed before any sentencing take place.

Sheriff David Mackie agreed and deferred sentence until later this year.
