Hundreds come out to remember the late Mick Lee

Hundreds of people crammed into the hall to commemorate the 61-year-old who sadly passed away after a brave battle with Parkinson’s.

Friends of Mick, Diane and Phil, organised the event which was a roaring success with a number of live bands, a tombola and a wonderful selection of fast food served up as people drank and danced the night away.

Diane said: “Phil arranged all the bands and I pretty much arranged everything else. Mick was well known, so it was no bother to sell tickets. We actually even had too many bands at one point and had to cancel some.

“The atmosphere was amazing. You couldn’t even hear the speeches which was a shame, but it was just so noisy. It stayed busy all night which was great. The local support has been absolutely amazing.”

The entertainment was provided by Fever, Nae Danger and Stewart Lindsay.

The local support was summed up by the amazing prizes donated by businesses. Morgan’s Hair donated GHD straighteners and various haircut vouchers.

Recruitment Direct, Falkirk donated £500, as did Phil’s employer, SGN. Other prize contributors included Mr Singh’s, Nail Studio Plus, Alloa Bedroom Centre, Braehead Golf Club and Harviston Brewery.

There were several high-end whisky bottles included, too.
