AN INFANT was given emergency care in hospital following an incident in Alloa last week.
The young girl was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert on Thursday, March 8, after taking "unwell".
A police investigation was launched to establish the exact circumstances, with two people initially arrested.
The man and woman had been due to appear in court, but were released by prosecutors before doing so.
In order to protect the youngster's identity, the exact location of the incident cannot be disclosed, but the Advertiser can confirm it happened at a residential address in the town.
Last week, a spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: “Police in Forth Valley arrested two people after a child took unwell at a residential address in the Alloa area on Thursday, March 8.
“The girl was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital for treatment and a 26-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man have been charged in connection with this."
The Advertiser understands the child is recovering.
