A MAN was found dead in Alloa last night, after being discovered in the toilet of a gym.
Paramedics and police were called to the Leisure Bowl in the early evening after reports of a 37-year-old man having “collapsed”.
According to one person, who wished to remain anonymous, he was found in the gym’s toilets.
Officers are treating the death as non-suspicious, and the Advertiser understands the incident is related to illegal substances.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Police were called to Alloa Leisure Bowl at 6.55pm on Tuesday, April 17, by the ambulance service who were treating a 37-year-old man who had collapsed.
“He sadly died at the scene - his death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
A spokesman for the Scottish Ambulance Service added: "We received a call at 1853 hours on Tuesday, April 17, to attend an incident at Parkway, Alloa.
"We dispatched a paramedic response unit and an ambulance to the scene."
