SOME residents in Alva woke up to find their wheelie bins have gone missing yesterday as they have been stolen and set alight in the glen overnight.

Police Scotland is now looking for information after a number of bins have been removed from Ochil Road and Braehead in Alva.

The incident happened around 1.30am on Monday morning, August 1, with the bins set on fire in the nearby Alva Glen.

According to police, a group of youths, who were camping in the area, may be responsible and officers are hoping to trace them.
