POLICE have arrested a man in connection with an alleged stabbing in Alva this morning.
Officers were called out to a disturbance at an address on The Nebit shortly after midnight.
It is believed the alleged victim was attacked with a knife and received injuries to his neck and body.
However, a spokesperson for Police Scotland told the Advertiser the 40-year-old's condition was not life threatening.
Officers have since detained a 38-year-old who will appear at Alloa Sheriff Court tomorrow (Wednesday).
A spokesperson for the force said: “We received a report of a serious assault in Alva.
“The incident happened outside a property in The Nebit around 12.10am on Tuesday 16 August.
“A 40-year-old man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with serious but non life threatening injuries.
“A 38-year-old male has been detained in connection with the incident.”
