FIREFIGHTERS were called out to the Ochils last night to battle a blaze on the hillside.
Crews were dispatched to the site at Alva Glen, shortly before 5pm.
The fire was brought under control a few hours later and the area was made safe by the team Scottish Fire and Rescue Service
A spokeswoman said: "The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was called at 4.52pm on Wednesday, May 3, to reports of a fire on hills in Alva.
"Two fire appliances were mobilised to the scene at Alva Glen.
"Firefighters extinguished the fire that involved gorse on the hillside.
"Crews left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe."
Members of the public took photos of the incident, including photographer Declan McCann and Liam Anderstrem who took a video of the fire using a drone.
The Advertiser has asked the fire service if they are investigating the possibility of the blaze being started maliciously.
