Gas escape investigation at Alloa school
TWO Alloa Academy lab technicians were taken to hospital with breathing difficulties last Wednesday after inhaling chemical fumes at the school. Emergency services were called to the building around 1.50pm when a build up of chloroform gas was released from a flammable storage unit within the secondary school’s science department.

MSP expects trains will be running to Alloa in May
OCHIL MSP Keith Brown is confident that the Stirling-Alloa-Kincardine railway line will be open for business on Monday 19 May. Trains will be running along the line from next week for driver training and hopes are high that the line will officially be open sooner rather than later.
