Santa on tour

SANTA sets off on his Grand Tour of Clackmannanshire next week hoping to fill his sack with cash donations for local children and pensioners.
Alloa Round Table’s Santa starts off his rounds on Monday 10 December at 6pm in Tillicoultry at the Health Centre car park, moving on to Coalsnaughton for 7pm outside the village hall.
On Tuesday 11 December Father Christmas will be waiting in Menstrie, at the Dumyat Centre car park at 6pm before taking his ‘sleigh’ to Alva’s Dalmore Centre car park at 7pm.
Burnee in Fishcross, next o the play park is Santa’s first stop on Wednesday 12 December at 6pm, then on to the car park in Main Street, Sauchie, for 7pm.
Thursday 13 December, and it’s the Community Library in Dollar at 7pm for the next stop on the tour.
The Civic Centre car park, Tullibody, at 6pm on Friday 14 December moving on to High Street, Clackmannan, outside the County Bar, at 7pm, finishes off a busy week’s tour of the county.
The Round Tablers will use all the money collected to buy Christmas presents for underprivileged children in Clackmannanshire’s primary schools and hampers for pensioners in the New Year.
Alloa Round Table will also be collecting (without Santa) outside Tesco in Alloa on Saturday and Sunday 15 and 16 December.
On Sunday 16 December, Sauchie’s Gartmorn Dam Country Park will host Santa’s Magic Grotto. Children aged nine and under can visit Kris Kringle, follow the snowman trail and listen to Mrs Claus’ Christmas stories. Walks will run every hour from 10.30am. Advance booking is essential.
And the Rotary Club of Alloa plays host to Santa in the Hub Cafe at Sterling Furniture Centre, Tillicoultry, every Saturday and Sunday from 1pm until 4pm until 16 December.
