By Alloa newsroom
Overall winner Charlie.
THE votes are all counted and we can now reveal that the winner of the Alloa & Hillfoots Advertiser Pet Idol 2007 Competition is … Charlie.
Voting was very close, but Charlie – owned by D. Bellingham, of Tullibody – came out just on top in the dog category and overall.
The winner of the cat category was Lucy, owned by J. Ferguson, of Alloa; and first in the other category was Sam, owned by Jennifer Inglis, of Tillicoultry.
The runner-up in the dog section was Boyd (L. Milligan, Alloa), followed by Bayley (Kayleigh Murray, Sauchie).
Second in the cats was Paddy (L. MacFarlane, Tullibody), with Dudley (Michelle McKenzie, Alloa) in third.
Behind Sam in the other category was Arwen (Lyn Dimmock, Tillicoultry), followed by Cheeky (Charles Bradie, Sauchie).
As winner of the dogs section, Charlie will receive a £50 voucher for Dollar-based Safepaws, and £25 to spend at Alloa’s Betavet Veterinary Centre.
Top cat Lucy will pick up a £50 voucher for Arns Boarding Cattery and a £25 voucher for J&C Petfood Supplies.
And in the other category, Sam wins a £50 voucher for Pets Direct and £25 for Betavet Veterinary Centre.
Overall winner Charlie will also receive a 16x12 framed portrait of their pet, provided by Alloa Advertiser and freelance photographer David Robertson.
