FOREFRONT Stage School is taking its audience under the sea in its latest production ‘The Little Mermaid and Friends’.

Adapted from the Hans Christian Andersen classic, this tale follows the adventures of a bubbly and fiercely independent young mermaid named Ariel – played by Jamielee Hopper – who longs to be part of the human world.

Teenage mermaid Ariel falls for human Prince Eric (Amy Perrie) but to walk into his life she has to make a dangerous deal with the evil Ursula the sea witch – an octopus (Julie Christie).

Amazing twists and turns combine with the story of the Water Babies, whose main character Tom (Rachael Harrison) has been shipwrecked but lands safely on the ocean floor.

Learning songs and dance routines has been great fun for the 60 youngsters, whilst creating fantasy creatures living in a fantasy world.

And they’re ready to share their fantasy world with their audiences at Alloa Town Hall on Thursday 20 and Friday 21 March, at 7pm, and Saturday 22 March at 2pm.

Following sell-out performances of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in December and January, this latest Forefront production should be another huge success for the Clackmannanshire stage school, Scotland’s leading children’s theatre group.

The show is suitable for all ages.

See this week's Alloa & Hillfoots Advertiser for the chance to win pairs of tickets to see Forefront's latest production.
