Jamie-Lee Petty following Sheriff Mackie’s recommendation at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday

A 16-YEAR-OLD girl was lured to a flat by a friendly phonecall where she became the victim of a vicious ‘happy slapping’ attack.

Jamie-Lee Petty (17) punched Nicole Morgan, pulled her by the hair and kneed her in the face, while it was filmed on a mobile phone.

On Thursday, Petty, of Achray Court, Alloa, appeared for sentence at Alloa Sheriff Court where her case was remitted to the Children’s Panel for disposal.

At an earlier hearing fiscal depute Keri Marshall explained that Petty was drinking with friends at a house in Alloa on 12 February when she told them she wanted to ‘have a go’ at the complainer to settle an argument.

One of the group then phoned Miss Morgan and asked her to come round to the flat in Garvally Crescent, Alloa.

When she arrived some of the teenagers hid in the flat before Petty launched her vicious attack.

Miss Marshall said, “Petty thereafter grabbed the complainer by the hair and pulled her on the couch where she proceeded to punch her to the face and head whilst holding her down.

“She then sat on the complainer’s hands and kneed her in the face. Petty thereafter kicked the complainer on the legs and grabbed her by the hair and pulled her through to the hallway and to the front door where she opened the door she threw her out.”

Mark Macrae (17), of Dovecot, Tullibody, was amongst the teenagers and filmed the assault on his mobile phone.

Macrae had been held in custody since February and was sentenced last month to three years probation and ordered to pay £250 in compensation.

Sheriff David Mackie followed the recommendation of the Children’s Panel and remitted Petty’s sentence back to them for disposal.
