OFFERS to buy or lease the former Zones Leisure Centre in Alloa’s Clackmannan Road must be submitted by the closing date of tomorrow (Friday).
Zones – which operated since 2003 as a leisure centre for under-18s – was closed at the end of last year.
It was then put on the market by Clackmannanshire Council in September.
Alloa Athletic Football Club are one of the parties interested in taking over Zones, with the Wasps seeking to invest £500,000 to create a 21st century leisure and sports facility for the use of various sports clubs in the county.
However, as the club wants to lease the premises or purchase them at a price set by a district valuer, they could lose out to a higher bid.
The council had previously received other expressions of interest from potential buyers, including one party who wanted to turn the facility into a 10-pin bowling alley.
