Wasps striker Ferguson set to return
By John Simpson
Andy Ferguson could return to the side this Saturday.
ALLOA Athletic’s bill of health is looking better this week in the run-up to Saturday when they meet Queen’s Park at Recreation Park.
Manager Allan Maitland told us this week, “I had Ross Clark, Andy Ferguson, Scot Buist and Sandy Hodge all ready to play in the friendly match with Morton (Tuesday) and depending how they come through, I hope they will be available to face Queen’s Park.
“I also hope to be able to include Scott Agnew and John Grant for this match but unfortunately our striker Graeme Brown will not play.
“He has been off work since his head injury against Ayr United, suffering from dizzy spells. His doctor has advised him not to take part in any contact sport, although he is able to do some training.”
The manager added, “This is a pity because I had hoped to play Brown and Andy Ferguson together up front just like at the start of the season but at the moment it is a case of one in and one out.”
