Alloa swimmers in top form

ALLOA swimmers, coached under the direction of Steven Tigg, were on brilliant form at the MAGS meet held in Grangemouth last weekend, swimming against some really tough competition.
The squad consisted of Lisa Gove (13), Alex Scott (12), Erin McIntyre (12), Lauren Forsyth (11), Lauren Rankine (11), Cassie McClements (11) and Duncan Scott (10).
Picking up well deserved medals were Duncan Scott, who won gold in the 100M Freestyle, silver in the 100M Butterfly and fourth in the 100M Backstroke and Lauren Forsyth, who won silver in the 100M Backstroke, fourth in 100M Freestyle and fifth in the 100M Breaststroke.
All the other competitors swam well also gaining a number of personal best times.

POTENTIAL Olympians from Clackmannanshire took part in a nationwide flag raising ceremony to celebrate the London Games in 2012. As the Beijing Olympics in China drew to a close on Sunday, athletes and councillors raised the London Olympic Handover Flag at Greenfield House in Alloa.
Forrest is back in training
SINCE returning for pre-season training, Fraser Forrest has not enjoyed the best of luck. The Alloa defender, who joined the club from Sauchie Juniors, is battling a knee injury but is confident of returning soon.
