David McClune has undergone a hernia operation.

THERE'S no Scottish League games on Saturday – but the week off could work in Alloa Athletic’s favour.

Their injured list seems never ending, although a few boys did declare themselves fit enough to return at Berwick last weekend.

Midielder David McClune, who recently had a hernia operation, has been advised to rest after a consultation with an injury specialist at Hampden Park.

Graeme Brown’s head injury is still not healed – in fact, spells of dizziness at training last midweek meant he was not in contention for the Berwick trip.

Although Andy Ferguson’s knee injury seem to be improving slightly, he is not ready for selection.

Ross Clark, who was stretchered off the park at Dingwall against Ross County has damaged ankle ligaments. It could be six weeks before he returns.

And now it has been discovered that goalkeeper Allan Creer injured his wrist at training, so it is the walking wounded at Recreation Park at the moment.

The Wasps resume on 20 October at home to Peterhead.
