Wasps face tie at Livingston

Alloa Athletic face a tough tie.
THE draw for the third round of the Scottish Cup has presented Alloa Athletic with an away tie against First Division side Livingston.
As Wasps fans will no doubt remember, their side knocked out Livi last season in a replay at Almondvale, winning 2-1 with goals by Ross Hamilton and Robert Sloan.
Alloa manager Allan Maitland told the Advertiser, “This will be a very interestng tie on 24 November which will bring back memories and give us the chance to pit our wits against a team from a higher division.
“I would have preferred a home tie but I hope we can be on good form that day.”
Fencer Amy wins Scottish title
DOLLAR girl Amy Duffus fenced in the Scottish Secondary Schools Championships at St Thomas of Aquin, Edinburgh – a competition run by Scottish Fencing. Amy won the Over 16 Girls Epee, a step up from last year when she did very well to win silver.
Alloa kickboxing duo head for world championships
THE Scottish National Kickboxing Team left a cold and miserable Edinburgh Airport on Saturday, to travel to sunny Orlando Florida for the 2008 WKA World Kickboxing Championships. Among them, were local Taekwon-Do stars Adam Paterson and Gary McGuire, both hoping 2008 will bring the same kind of success they enjoyed last year.
