Bowmen on target for medals

Bannockburn Bowmen members Margaret Martin and her grand-daughter Melissa Martin competed in the recent Lasswade Combined FITA, and both came home with medals. Margaret won the Ladies recurve gold medal and Melissa won the Junior Girls u16 Gold Medal.

Seven members competed in the Neptune Archery Club tournament held at the Royal Navy base in Faslane.

Dave Scobie of Alloa won the Gents Recurve Bronze Medal for the Stafford round (6 dozen arrows at 30m), and Brenda Williams of Alva won the Ladies Recurve Silver Medal for the Stafford round.

Douglas Blyth of Clackmann elected to shoot the Junior Portmouth round and won the Junior Gold Medal.
