Reward for rally duo

FATHER and son rally aces – Gordon and Gary Adam – collected their rewards for a great 2007 season at the Scottish Rally Championship awards cermony at the Apex Hotel in Dundee on Saturday.
The championship closing event was attended by over 300 guests, with many friends and acquaintances of the late great Colin McRae, including his co-driver Nicky Grist, among those present.
The local pairing of Gordon and Gary had secured the overall championship earlier this year with two of the eight events still to run.
Presentation of there awards was made by David Higgins reigning British Rally Champion.
Fencer Amy wins Scottish title
DOLLAR girl Amy Duffus fenced in the Scottish Secondary Schools Championships at St Thomas of Aquin, Edinburgh – a competition run by Scottish Fencing. Amy won the Over 16 Girls Epee, a step up from last year when she did very well to win silver.
Wasps seek revenge for Hampden defeat
THE Wasps line up against Queen’s Park on Saturday – remembering their last meeting with the Amateurs at Hampden. On 27 September there was only one goal scored, by Queen’s, a well-hit shot from Paul Harkins 15 minutes from the end which kept the points at Hampden.

Among them, were local Taekwon-Do stars Adam Paterson and Gary McGuire, both hoping 2008 will bring the same kind of success they enjoyed last year.
