Duncan Scott picked up six medals at a meeting in East Kilbride.

TULLIBODY swimmer Stuart Greig was on brilliant form yet again at the Open West Districts meet held at Cumbernauld last weekend.

Swimming for personal best times and Olympic trial qualifying times Stuart didn’t disappoint. Stuart took Gold in the 50M Fly with a time of 26.72 seconds, well ahead of the swimmer in second place.

In his other race, the 100M Freestyle, Stuart only narrowly missed the gold, taking Silver with a time of 52.61 seconds. Stuart is currently undergoing intensive training at Stirling University for the Olympic Trials soon to be held in Sheffield.

Meanwhile, 10-year-old Duncan Scott was in tremendous form recently at the Age Group West Districts held at East Kilbride.

As well as winning a total of six medals out of eight races Duncan also added to his tally of 9 West District Long-course records.

Duncan’s most significant win was the gold medal in the 100M Butterfly breaning the existing district record by 10 seconds. In the 200M Butterfly, 400M IM, he took 4th place and he came 6th in the 100M Free, 200M IM and the 200M Back. Duncan of Alloa swims with FIRST, coached by Rob Lee.
