ALLOA make their third trip to Hampden this Saturday to meet Queen’s Park as the fight continues for a place in the end of season play-offs.

In their two previous visits to the National Stadium the Wasps have failed to record a victory so they will be hoping to rectify that this weekend.

In the opening round of the CIS Cup on Tuesday 7 August the home side managed an odd goal in three win over the Wasps then, on the first Saturday in December, only one goal was scored in this league meeting – for Queens.

In their Recreation Park meetings this term Alloa had a 2-0 victory in September but on 5 January the Glasgow side chalked up their third victory – 2-1 at Recreation Park.

So, Allan Maitland the Alloa manager will be looking to put his boys on course for what could be a tricky game this weekend.

No doubt Gardner Speirs the Queens boss will also be urging his boys to go out and win the points. His side did well at the weekend, going to Glebe Park where a goal from Robert Dunn gave them an important 1-0 victory.

Alloa manager Maitland will probably not be able to recall any of his injured players. Striker Graeme Brown told the Advertiser on Saturday, “I am not fully fit yet but hope to be ready to return the following week in our home match against Ayr.”

Graeme has been doing light training during the last week.

Both Andy Ferguson and Dougie Wilson are also looking like being a week away from a return.

Fraser Forrest is suspended for Saturday and the following week, returning at Cowdenbeath.
