Come and help us, says Bobby

Bobby Hopkins is the new Alloa Athletic FC chairman.
THE new Alloa Athletic chairman appealed this week for his club's supporters to give the team their full backing on Saturday.
Bobby Hopkins, one of the longest serving directors with the Wasps said, "I am asking the people of Clackmannanshire to come along to Recreation Park when we meet Berwick Rangers.
"This is a very important match for us because a victory would put us into a play-off position beside the other three clubs hoping to go into Division 1 next season.
"Anyone visiting Recreation Park recently will no doubt have noticed that the strides that have been taken are tremendous. We are not just an Alloa club but are undoubtedly for the community in general. I feel everyone here has done well after being in a precarious position earlier in the season close to the bottom of the Division, so I would like to thank the players and staff for their efforts which has put us to within reach of moving into a higher league."
Bobby (pictured), who is a former centre-forward with Clackmannan Juniors in the highly compettitive Fife League, in a Fife Cup winning side from the early 1960s, has been chairman many times, but sees his appoiintment last week as another challenge.
He said, "I am looking forward to next season and on behalf of the board I wish to thank our manager and his assistants for the great work they have done for Alloa Athletic. We will continue to give them our full backing."
Bobby added, "I feel it fitting I should also say thank you to outgoing chairman Pat Lawlor who, considering his health problems recently, continued to work tirelessly to keep Alloa Athletic in the forefront."
Bobby's vice chairman for the next two seasons will be his fellow director Mike Mulraney.
