THERE has been a bit of a running maul in recent weeks as Clackmannanshire children have been enjoying summer rugby practice.
In recent weeks training days have been organised for junior and senior children at Alloa and Hillfoots rugby clubs.
Ben Hanvey, Clackmannanshire’s rugby development officer, told the Advertiser, “With the younger children some were trying rugby for the first time.
“Others were a bit more experienced but everyone seemed to enjoy it.”
Coaches are hopeful that children from P4 to P7 who enjoyed themselves will head along to training when it restarts on Saturday from 9.30am until 11am at Hillfoots, and on Sunday, from 10am until 11.30am at Alloa.
Clackmannanshire Colts – for S1 to S5 children – resume training from 7.30pm on Wednesday 27 August at Tulligarth in Alloa.
