A FATAL Accident Inquiry will take place next month into the death of Menstrie toddler Muireann McLaughlin.
The two-year-old died at home in February after she became entangled in a blind cord.
The inquiry will take place at Alloa Sheriff Court on 25 November.
Following the toddler"s death the Advertiser, supported by the McLaughlin family and MP Gordon Banks, campaigned to ban looped cords on blinds and curtains.
A petition of 3500 names was presented by Mr Banks to the House of Commons in June and he met with Ministers to discuss the issue.
A new European Standard on blinds is expected to be published in January next year.
