AN ALLOA man was hauled before a sheriff this week charged with assaulting a fellow bar patron, leaving him permanently scarred.
The 31-year-old appeared on petition at Alloa Sheriff Court yesterday afternoon (Thursday) to face one count of assault to severe injury and permanent disfigurement and one count of breaching bail conditions.
He made no plea or declaration and was released on bail.
It is believed the two men got into a heated argument in a pub on Candleriggs, Alloa, before the accused bit a portion the other's man ear off.
The alleged assault is said to have taken place at around 10pm on Sunday, December, last year.
The accused will re-appear in court for trial by jury at a later date.
