A TEENAGER has been banned from entering Alloa Academy after chasing pupils around the school.

The 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested and charged with threatening and abusive behaviour.

On April 27, he entered Alloa Academy, followed three male pupils there and later chased them around the school premises.

He was picked up by police and appeared from custody where he pleaded guilty at Alloa Sheriff Court on Thursday.

He pleaded guilty to the charge and is due to appear for sentencing later this month.

The youngster was said to have two bail aggravations on his record, with separate matters also to go before the court in the near future.

His lawyer petitioned the court for bail, and was met with some opposition from the bench.

In the end, Sheriff Kevin Veal allowed the teen's release, and banned him from entering Alloa Academy or approaching or contacting the three males in question.

He also warned the teen his bail was "hanging by a thread" and any further offending between now and his next appearance would likely see him locked up.

The accused was then released and is due to appear in court on June 13.
