A MAN who lied to police about being attacked with a weapon will have to wait a little longer for his punishment.
On Thursday at Alloa Sheriff Court, Michael Murray admitted wasting police time by making up the assault claim at an address in the town's Claremont on May 29 last year.
The 25-year-old, of Alloa's Maple Court, was due to be sentenced, however previously ordered reports were still unavailable.
Sheriff J.K. Tierney deferred the case until February 16.
