A MAN has appeared in court charged with chasing kids with a snake.
Paul Mason is accused of repeatedly pursuing children while in possession of the scaly reptile, inviting them to touch it.
Mason, 46, is also said to have conducted himself in a disorderly manner by setting off fireworks in the children's vicinity during the incident in Greenfield Park, Alloa, on October 22 last year.
At the town's sheriff court on Monday, Mason, of Nevis Crescent, Alloa, pleaded not guilty to breach of the peace.
Defence agent Claire McCarron asked for the case to be continued for consideration to be given to having Mason examined by a psychologist.
Sheriff Michael Fletcher ordered Mason to return to court for a further hearing on March 6.
