A FATHER found himself in hot water after getting behind the wheel with no insurance.
Last Wednesday at Alloa's Justice of the Peace Court, Stanley Craine admitted driving along Tillicoultry's Roundelwood on December 29 last year without the proper paperwork in place.
Fiscal depute Laura Knox stated that the 29-year-old accused was caught by police on a routine patrol.
In defence it was claimed that Craine, of Upper Mill Street in Tilly, made the "stupid" decision to drive his partner's car as she was too ill to pick up their son from skiing lessons nearby.
Justice Michael Bromby fined the accused £400 and endorsed his licence with six penalty points.
