A THIEF who got the New Year off to a bad start has been fined £70.
Last Wednesday at Alloa's Justice of the Peace Court, Scott Paton pleaded guilty to stealing £13 worth of food from the town's Iceland store on December 31, 2016.
As well as the fine, Justice Michael Bromby ordered the 34-year-old accused, of Alloa's Devon Road, to pay £13 compensation to the supermarket chain.
