A 30-YEAR-OLD yob sent threatening messages to his ex.

On Thursday at Alloa Sheriff Court, James Donald pleaded guilty to a number of charges.

The accused admitted removing a window pane and disturbing items within a property in Alloa's Whins Road on May 17 last year.

He also accepted that he engaged in a course of conduct that caused his former partner fear and alarm between August 17 and September 14, 2016.

Donald repeatedly sent his ex text messages, constantly telephoned her, attempted to contact her via social media, sent her voice recordings with threats of violence, and refused to desist with his bad behaviour despite being asked to.

In addition, the accused also pleaded guilty to fraudulently obtaining a taxi from Lomond Court in Alloa to his home address in the town's Shire Way without intending to pay the £4.10 fare.

When in his home street, Donald acted in a threatening manner by shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence.

Defending, Kelly Howe claimed that her client had been abstaining from alcohol and was now looking towards the future.

Sheriff David Mackie deferred sentence until October 26 to monitor Donald's progress on another Community Payback Order.
