A SERIAL thief will have to keep his sticky fingers to himself over the next three months.

On Thursday at the county's Sheriff Court, Paul Rennie admitted a number of charges.

The 37-year-old pleaded guilty to stealing a quantity of cosmetics from Alloa's Boots, Semichem and Poundland stores between March 14 and December 1, 2016.

The accused also admitted nabbing alcohol from the town's Co-operative store in Tullibody Road on April 2 and 10 last year, as well as lifting coffee from Alloa's Aldi supermarket on April 10, 2016.

Rennie, of Riverside View in Alloa, also pleaded guilty to ripping a page out of a police-issue notebook and punching a constable on the head in the town's Mar Street on April 12 last year.

Sheriff David Mackie further deferred the case until August 10 to monitor the accused's good behaviour and progress on a Drug Treatment and Testing Order.
