AN ALLOA woman was jailed for four months last week.

Alana Searle, of Rose Street, went before a sheriff in relation to a number of charges on Thursday, July 20.

She appeared in Alloa Sheriff Court for having damaged the property of another by throwing a garden ornament and causing the window to break on November 17 of last year, at Gaberston Avenue.

She was also charged with having behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause a person fear or alarm in that she acted in an aggressive manner, shouted, swore and uttered threats of violence on January 26 of this year at Kippen Place in Sauchie.

In doing so she also breached conditions preventing her from entering the location or communicating with the individual involved.

The 30-year-old was also sentenced for wilfully and recklessly destroying the property of another by striking a window with a piece of wood on February 21 of this year at Alloa Road, Tullibody – breaking conditions preventing her from communicating or attempting to communicate with an individual.

By way of background, her defence team cited issues with the complainer but said Searle had acknowledged and accepted that she should not react to what might be going on elsewhere.

Having been on remand from May 16 to June 21, Sheriff David Mackie admonished her saying this was adequate punishment.

However, he also outlined that she appeared at a time where community payback disposals had been exhausted and gave her a custodial sentence of four months, discounted from nine, for having assaulted another by repeatedly punching her on the head, seizing her by the hair and struggling with her, on February 22 at Alloa Road, Tullibody.
