A WHEELCHAIR-BOUND man has been sentenced to six months in prison after being deemed a risk to the public.

Raymond Lindsay appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last week after breaching a number of community payback orders (CPO).

On February 15, 2017, while at Earls Court, Alloa, Lindsay acted in an aggressive manner towards his mother by shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence.

On March 7, 2017, the accused was at the same address and shouted, swore, uttered demands for money and gesticulated which caused fear and alarm to those present.

Then on May 3, 2017, Lindsay caused fear and alarm by behaving in a threatening manner by refusing to leave a Delphwood Crescent property when requested to do so.

All of these incidents took place while the 52-year-old, who repeatedly interrupted proceedings by shouting, was subject to CPOs.

Sheriff David Mackie told Lindsay: “I am going to be very straight with you, you are going to spend time in prison.”

Sheriff Mackie sentenced Lindsay to six months in prison as a criminal justice report rated him as at high risk of reoffending.
