A MAN who threatened to bite off a bouncer's nose at has been ordered to carry out unpaid work.

Glen Millar, whose address was given as Garvally Crescent, Alloa, pleaded guilty to one charge of acting in an aggressive and abusive manner as well as struggling violently which caused an injury.

A further three charges, one of which was possession of cannabis resin, were dropped against Miller.

The 31-year-old appeared at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday for sentencing.

On May 20 at Klub 21, Mill Street, two stewards were in the smoking area and saw Millar jump a parameter wall after being ejected for being too intoxicated, the depute fiscal told the court.

She continued: "He began shouting and swearing 'I'll go through you' and 'I will bite your nose off'."

A violent struggle then ensued which left the bouncer with minor injuries to his nose and lip.

The bouncers then phoned the police.

Millar's defence agent told the court that his client accepts "negative behaviour" but added that the "bouncers were heavy handed".

He added that Millar had curbed his alcohol and Valium abuse since the incident, although he still has an issue with cannabis.

Sheriff Simon Collins ordered Millar to be supervised for one year and to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work in four months.
