A WARNING has been issued following a report of a "suspicious call" in Clackmannanshire.

Dollar Health Centre was informed that a phone call had been received from someone posing as the facility – trying to gain "personal/health information" – on Thursday, April 14.

It is asking people to be aware and has said if patients have any doubts to "hang up and call us back".

Meanwhile, Police Scotland is urging anyone with information in relation to the incident to get in touch.

A spokesperson said: "Police in Forth Valley have been made aware of a suspicious call made to a resident in the Dollar area.

"Officers advise the public to never provide any personal or financial details to an unexpected or unknown caller.

"If you are unsure of a caller or their intentions, hang up and call the organisation they claim to represent directly.

"Anyone with information about this is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101."
