NASTY WOMEN

AFTER calling Hillary Clinton a "nasty woman" during a US Presidential debate, Donald Trump's insult quickly began to trend amongst his opponent's supporters.

Taking note, the team behind the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels remake have since renamed the new film to Nasty Women.

At the moment it looks as if Anne Hathaway will join Pitch Perfect's Rebel Wilson in the two lead roles.

However, Oscar-winning Hathaway still has to wrap up Ocean's Eight alongside Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock and Sarah Paulson.

WILL AND GRACE

WILL & Grace are returning to NBC with 10 new episodes.

Following in the footsteps of the Gilmore Girls, Twin Peaks and Full House revivals, the much-loved show will reunite Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally in their signature roles of Will, Grace, Jack and Karen.

James Burrows, who directed every episode of the sitcom's original eight seasons, will also be back to helm the 10 fresh stories.

Series creators Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will serve as showrunners and executive producers.

Mutchnick said: "Dave and I are absolutely thrilled about the opportunity to write what Will, Grace, Jack and Karen are thinking about in 2017."

THE LOST DISCO

SCOTLAND’S second largest festival is launching a sister event in Croatia.

Eden Festival's most popular stage, The Lost Disco, is flying the nest and landing in The Garden Tisno, one of Europe's most breathtaking locations, for a sun soaked European adventure.

Eden festival co-founder and director Adam Curtis said: “We are really excited to be taking a slice of Eden Festival abroad to Croatia.

"There’s a real sense of buzz happening and with the current collapse of Scottish festivals due to over policing and its associated costs, it’s a nice break away from the bureaucracy to more liberal pastures.

"I think more Scottish events organisers may be looking to do similar adventures in the future.”

The Lost Disco will be hosting four stages of uplifting music, featuring some of Scotland’s finest acts.

There will be boat parties twice a day across the sun kissed Adriatic.

You can enjoy, funk, soul, Balearic house, disco and party beats till 6am and rejuvenate in the sunrise sessions, all by the sea, and situated minutes away from the picturesque town of Tisno with its fantastic restaurants and wineries.

This summer's adventure begins here.

The Lost Disco launches from August 17-20, with tickets starting from £99 and for the first month there is a special offer: purchase three tickets and get the fourth one free.

Co-director Meredith Langley Vine added: “Timing couldn’t be better for the launch of The Lost Disco with Ryanair announcing new direct flights from Glasgow to Zadar - only one hour from the festival site.

"There’s already a flurry of flights being booked up and bus convoys scheduling a two-day road trip from Glasgow to Tisno over the Alps.

"Planning for this year's summer adventure is well truly underway and we can’t wait to get out there.”

VERONICA MARS

PLACE your bets; Kristin Bell might be coming back to our small screen as Veronica Mars.

At the Television Critics Association press tour, creator Rob Thomas said: "Kristen and I both want to figure out some way we could do a six-episode Veronica Mars mystery.

"If I were a betting man, I bet that it will happen. I just don’t know when it will be."

At the moment Thomas is co-showrunning iZombie as well as developing a Lost Boys TV series for The CW, whilst Bell stars in NBC's The Good Place.

If the dynamic duo can lock down some filming time amidst their busy schedules, then we might get our private detective back on the telly.

THE PREDATOR

GET to the choppa!

The Punisher star Thomas Jane is in talks to join Shane Black's Predator movie.

Although the Deep Blue Sea actor's role has not yet been revealed, this would be his first studio film in years.

Fox's reboot of the sci-fi action franchise will so far pit Boyd Holbrook, Keegan-Michael Key and Trevante Rhodes against the killer alien hunters.

Director Black, who starred as Hawkins in the 1987 movie alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, stated that the new story would mark a return to the "intimate" scale of the original and and that the filmmakers hoped to achieve “the same sense of wonderment and newness that Close Encounters had when that came out”.

EVERY WHICH WAY BUT LOOSE

EVERY Which Way But Loose is getting a remake.

The movie, which starred Clint Eastwood as a truck driver with a pet orangutan, will be helmed by The Sex Trip director Anthony G. Cohen.

James Fargo, the director of the original, will be back to produce.

He said: "I have been interviewing directors for over a year and as soon as I watched Cohen’s film The Sex Trip, I knew instantly he was the right director for this picture."

The movie is set to go into production this spring.

STAR WARS

THE next Star Wars film - due out this Christmas - has been named The Last Jedi.

Previously, director Rian Johnson told USA Today: "I want [Episode VIII] to be a blast and to be funny and to be a ride the way The Force Awakens and the original Star Wars movies were."
