DOUNE the Rabbit Hole has joined forces with Glasgow-based promoters Synergy Concerts for the booking of this year’s much-loved event.

Named as one of the UK’s top family-friendly festivals, it will be back for its eighth year with an even bigger line-up than before.

Noted for its eclectic mix of Scottish and international acts, the festival has already played host to a series of incredible performers including Cate Le Bon, Deerhoof, The Vaselines, Bill Wells & Aidan Moffat, Treacherous Orchestra, Errors, C Duncan, Jeffrey Lewis, Sax Ruins and Awesome Tapes from Africa, amongst many others.

With Synergy Concerts on board you can expect the line-up to be even more exceptional.

Synergy Concerts are already well known across Scotland, with their exceptional programming of Glasgow’s Hug and Pint and their previous booking of Wickerman Festival, this is a team that has sold more than 70,000 tickets for shows across the country in the last year.

The Scottish booking collective already promote the likes of De La Soul, Mac De Marco, Dr Hook, Flying Lotus, Young Fathers, Angel Olsen and John Carpenter.

Jamie Murray, director of Doune The Rabbit Hole Community Interest Group, said of the partnership: "We at Doune the Rabbit Hole have been super impressed with Synergy Concerts, having attended more of their shows than we can count over the last few years.

"They always seem to be programming more and more interesting, culturally relevant acts and we're extremely excited about what they'll be able to bring to Doune the Rabbit Hole for 2017.

"Watch this space for some big announcements this year."

Brian Reynolds of Synergy Concerts added: "I’m thrilled to be working with the team at Doune The Rabbit Hole, which is the friendliest and most relaxing festival that I have ever attended.

"I'm honoured to be building from a strong foundation with a resilient independent team who have faced down their problems and overcome them. I have the utmost respect for what they have achieved to date.

"I hope to use my skills as a booker to deliver an exciting and eclectic line up with quality, authenticity and passion at the core of it.”

Set near the tranquil Lake of Menteith and within beautiful parkland grounds, the festival will not only host a variety of the best musical acts but will also feature a range of workshops including guitar, fiddle and stagecraft through to spoon carving, yoga and printmaking.

With an event capacity of only 3,000, Doune The Rabbit Hole organisers pride themselves on being one of the country’s smallest festivals, giving the event a uniquely intimate and friendly atmosphere.
