James Franco has said he is a “little gay” as he addressed speculation about his sexuality.
The actor, who stars in a new film called King Cobra, about the brutal murder of an adult film producer over a male porn star, denied he slept with men but described himself as a “gay c*** tease”.
In an interview with New York Magazine, Franco said there was “over-focusing” on his sexuality because of his celebrity status.
He said: “If your definition of gay and straight is who I sleep with, then I guess you could say I’m a gay c*** tease. It’s where my allegiance lies, where my sensibilities lie, how I define myself.
“Yeah, I’m a little gay, and there’s a gay James.”
Franco, 38, also told the magazine he did not regret hosting the 2011 Oscars despite suffering poor reviews from critics.
The Milk star said he decided to take the job as an “experiment” because nobody expected him to present the Academy Awards.
He added: “In the best-case scenario, even if I killed it, it’s not going to help my career, because that’s not what it’s based on. It was an experiment.”
