LAST year they smashed their fund-raising record and on Friday they will be hoping for more of the same.
Alva Academy will host its annual Macmillan World's Biggest Coffee Morning - a highlight in the school's calendar.
Last year the school raised a staggering 12,312 and was recognised for its efforts to raise the profile of Macmillan with a Douglas Macmillan Volunteer award from the charity.
The school's charities committee, headed by S6 pupils, has already over seen several fund-raising events.
In the last few months pupils have swam with sharks, climbed Ben Nevis, walked the West Highland Way and even had an overnight "lock-in" at laser gaming Megazone.
Pupils also did bag-packing at Alloa supermarket, Asda, and collections at Co-op stores in Alva, Tillicoultry and Dollar.
So far the school has raised a massive 6843.26 this year and that figures is expected to further increase with the coffee morning.
Music teacher David Clifford said, "This is truly a monumental effort and it is incredibly heart warming to be part of a school which pulls together for such a worthwhile cause" "On behalf of the charities committee we would like to thank every pupil, teacher and member of the public who has taken part in a sponsored event or has donated their time or money so far. It really does mean so much and makes a considerable difference to the lives of those affected by cancer." The coffee morning will be open to the public from 10am to 12pm. Entry is 1 and includes a tea/coffee/juice and a cake.
Macmillan provides practical, medical and financial support and a push for better cancer care.
