MORE than 30 members of the Wee County Crafters braved the elements on Saturday morning to attend their first AGM at The Workshop in Alva's Cobden Street.
They reviewed the year's progress and voted in a new committee. In his remarks, chairman Richard Douglas said he was "astonished" that only just over a year had passed since the group's birth "fittingly, in a stable" and congratulated all who had a hand in the development of The Workshop.
Retiring treasurer Archie Scott delivered an appreciation of the club's accounts.
He appealed for fundraising ideas and more members to swell the ranks - and coffers - and expressed confidence that 2013 would prove to be a successful year.
The three Office Bearers stood down at the meeting and the members elected Jim Bayliss as chairman, Trevor Shields as secretary and Heather Meacham as treasurer.
