LAST week's fun-filled Bioblitz event at Dollar Glen and Castle Campbell was described as "wonderful" by Historic Scotland, who organised the activities alongside National Trust for Scotland.
As reported in the Advertiser, local children were given a rare chance to learn all about the area's fascinating flora and fauna.
Activities included wildlife surveys, bat walks and river dipping sessions.
Matt McCabe, an interpretation ranger at Historic Scotland, said, "It was a wonderful weekend with glorious weather. We were so pleased to see so many families taking part in the arts and crafts sessions and learning about the wildlife, woodland and waterfalls we enjoy around Castle Campbell and Dollar Glen."
