OVER 600 dancers from schools across the region took part in the 2014 Forth Valley Schools Dance Competition last week.
The event – held at the MacRobert Arts Centre, University of Stirling – showcased some of the best dancing talent from across the Forth Valley, with all choreography developed and performed by the pupils themselves.
Youngsters from Alloa Academy, Alva Academy and Lornshill Academy were involved in representing Clackmannanshire at the event held on Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 March.
After two evenings of intense competition, and much deliberation by the judges, Larbert High School was named Junior Overall School Winner (S1 – S3) while Grangemouth High School took home the Senior School (S4 – S6) accolade.
A charity raffle was also held during the event, raising £1,200 for this year’s chosen beneficiary, Yorkhill Children’s Charity.
