Want to improve your fitness, but struggling to find the time to fit it in? The Leisure Bowl has a range of classes to suit your needs and will improve your fitness level in no time.
Thirty minute classes are the perfect way to fit exercise into your busy schedule. H.I.I.T classes involve working at a high intensity with varying intervals.
Why not try Insanity on Tuesdays at 8.15pm, or Metafit on Thursdays at 8.50pm?
If that doesn’t sound like your thing, why not try a 30 minute core class which uses resistance tubes, weights as well as your own body weight?
CX Worx is a 30 minute workout designed to strengthen the core. It improves functional training and assists in the prevention of injury.
For this class, you use a mat, some weights, and an elastic rope. Don’t worry if it’s your first time, an instructor is always on hand to advise.
You can try this class on Mondays at 5.45pm, Tuesdays at 6.35pm, Wednesdays at 6.15am and Saturdays at 11am.
Or try Vibrocircuit. This class uses power plate vibration to accelerate training.
Maria Williamson has been a fitness instructor for over 25 years and currently teaches 17 classes, including this one.
She said: “The vibro classes are a great starting point, as they are completely different to the other classes. This method of exercise was constructed to help astronauts when in space with the effect of weightlessness which affects the muscle and bone density. One squat on the vibro plate is equal to 10 normal squats.”
This class is on Mondays at 6.20pm, Tuesdays at 10.30am, Thursdays at 11.20am and 7pm and Fridays at 10.30am.
If this still doesn’t sound like your bag, try the 30 minute cycle classes. With the dark nights drawing in and the days growing colder, The Leisure Bowl provides the perfect venue to keep up your summer cycle all winter long.
The classes are suitable from beginners to cycling enthusiasts. Class are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12.15pm.
If you want to up the ante, try the RPM Express class on Saturdays at 11am. RPM is a Les Mills indoor cycling workout with disco lighting and upbeat music Powerful music motivates you throughout and the disco lighting certainly add to the dramatic feel.
Passionate RPM instructors Barry and Marion are always on hand with advice. Barry said: “The atmosphere in the Leisure Bowl is unique. Everyone is supportive and respectful to other class members. They give it their everything during the class and there is always a laugh or two to be had.
“Whenever we introduce anything new or try something different, the support from the customers and their enthusiasm is overwhelming – you can actually feel the love in the room.”
