The WASP Community Club is a big part of Clackmannan, and they want YOU to be a part of it.

The search is on for volunteer football coaches to join the friendly team and be a part of the Community Club. No experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

Not only do volunteer coaches get to take a huge sense of pride in their work, they also get excellent benefits and rewards.

By being a coach, you and your family can spend £650 a year at the Leisure Bowl. You can also get into all non -ticket Alloa league home games for free.

Totted up, the rewards of being a volunteer football coach add up to £1000 per annum. With such amazing benefits, what’s stopping you from volunteering and giving that wee bit back to Clacks?

WASP Community Club coaches now have the opportunity to get their kids involved in half time competitions.

At half time at home games, the coaches’ teams will be able to take part in small competitions in front of the home crowd.

FFIT Update

Football Fans in Training (FFIT) is in its third week of running right here at Alloa Athletic.

The programme has already attracted 3000 men across the country who wanted to make a big change to their lifestyle and now it’s here on your doorstep.

FFIT has been proven to make a real difference. Professor Sally Wyke, one of the two Principal Investigators from the University of Glasgow said: “We now have ‘gold standard’ evidence that the FFIT programme can help men lose weight and keep it off. After 12 months, the difference in weight loss between men who did the programme and men in a comparison group, who did not do the programme, was 4·94kg.”

Keep your eyes peeled as WASP Leisure keeps you up to date on FFIT progress.
